WS Tech ("WS Tech", "we", "our", or "us") provides Harmoniq, a mobile application and related services for creating and sharing digital identity cards with context-aware controls (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Summary
- Local-first by design: Your identity data is stored on your device. Optional cloud sync can back up Identity Cards to your personal namespace to support recovery and multi-device continuity.
- We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with service providers as necessary to operate and improve the Service.
- You can delete your local data at any time within the app. You may also revoke shared links at any time by regenerating tokens.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Identity Card data: name, headline, bio, contact details (e.g., email, phone, website, social), tags, and any custom fields you add.
- Account data: if you sign in (e.g., with Google), we may collect your display name, email address, and profile photo URL from your identity provider.
- Preferences and settings: theme mode, session lock configuration (PIN presence/biometric enabled, not the raw PIN), and other in-app preferences.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and app logs: basic diagnostics, crash data, and performance signals needed to maintain reliability and security.
- Connectivity state: NFC and Bluetooth availability and permission state to enable features; we do not collect raw NFC or BLE payloads for analytics.
2.3 Information from optional cloud sync
If you enable cloud sync, Harmoniq may store snapshots of your Identity Cards (including metadata like timestamps and tags) in a user-scoped namespace hosted on WS Tech–managed infrastructure or trusted cloud providers. This enables recovery and multi-device continuity. You can disable sync, and you can request deletion of your cloud-stored snapshots.
3. How we use information
- Provide and maintain the Service, including rendering Identity Cards, handling share links, and managing tokens.
- Facilitate optional cloud sync and history snapshots for recovery and versioning.
- Enhance security: session lock features, revocation of shared links, and prevention of unauthorized access.
- Improve performance and reliability through diagnostics and crash reporting.
- Communicate with you about updates, features, and important notices related to the Service.
4. Legal bases for processing
We process personal data based on: (a) consent (e.g., optional cloud sync), (b) performance of a contract (providing the Service), and (c) legitimate interests (security, troubleshooting, and improving the Service). Where applicable, we may rely on additional legal bases provided by mandatory local law.
5. Sharing of information
- Service providers: We share limited information with vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, authentication, crash reporting). These providers process data on our behalf and under our instructions.
- Legal compliance and safety: We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of WS Tech, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: In a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to this Policy.
6. Data retention
- On-device data: Stored until you delete it (e.g., using the in-app delete flows) or uninstall the app.
- Cloud snapshots (if enabled): Retained until you delete them or request deletion. Historical versions may be maintained for recovery and audit until you remove them.
- Diagnostics: Retained for a period necessary to investigate issues and improve the Service.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including local session locks (PIN/biometrics) and token revocation for shared links. No security measures are perfect; please use strong device security and keep your credentials confidential.
8. Your choices and rights
- Access and update: You can view and edit your Identity Cards within the app.
- Delete: You can delete your local data and revoke active share links at any time. If cloud sync is enabled, you may request deletion of cloud snapshots.
- Permissions: You can enable/disable device permissions (e.g., NFC/Bluetooth) in your OS settings; this may limit certain features.
- Regional rights: Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may exercise these rights via the in-app Settings → About section or by contacting us as described below.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or higher age where required by applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. International transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in locations where we or our service providers maintain facilities. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards for international transfers consistent with applicable law.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., via the app or our website). Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Policy.
12. Contact
For questions or requests about privacy, please contact WS Tech via the in-app Settings → About section or the contact information published on our website: https://ws-tech-harmoniq.web.app/.
